Jane-Finch.com, founded by Paul Nguyen in 2004, is a community website breaking down racial stereotypes and promoting the unique cultural history of the Jane and Finch neighbourhood of Toronto. The website is managed by a volunteer team of local youth and residents working together to document, share stories, and raise awareness about social justice issues affecting the community. With over 400 first-hand videos collected, Jane-Finch.com’s goal is to serve as a social movement that operates like a news outlet – creating opportunities for racialized youth to be heard and seen in the mainstream.
