About
As an independent charity and agency of the City of Toronto, we work to ensure that our city’s heritage is accessible, relevant, and engaging to all Torontonians.
What We Do
Heritage Toronto builds a better city by bringing people together to explore Toronto’s shared past and peoples’ lived experiences. We deliver 80+ public programs annually including tours, plaques, digital programs and exhibitions, the Heritage Toronto Awards, the Emerging Historians program and, most recently, the Equity Heritage Initiative.
Our History
For 70+ years, we have promoted Toronto’s heritage through advocacy and public programs.
State of Heritage Report
Every four years or so, we produce a State of Heritage Report to inform the public of issues and trends in the heritage sector, and to advise decision-makers on opportunities for improvement.
