Creator: Erica Simmons (aka Beth Simons)

Erica Simmons dug deep into uncovering the history of recently discovered residential pathway stones, which on the bottom side had the inscriptions and markings of Jewish gravestones.

The author aimed to uncover who made the gravestones, who is named on them, and how they became pathway stones instead of headstones of the deceased. The story provides a glimpse into the local immigrant communities once found in the Kensington, Annex, and Harbord Village area but have since migrated north.
