About the Tour
This tour is trash! Bike the Lower Don River with us and discover how Toronto was shaped by what we throw away. We will talk trash about our manmade waterways, the hidden treasures unearthed from our mountain of filth, and the nocturnal critters that rely on our discards.
This tour will be led by Heritage Toronto staff, Chris Bateman and Meg Sutton.
Meet at the Bike Share station located at the end of the entrance road to the Brick Work from Bayview Avenue.
Cost and Registration
This tour is provided for $8.00/person. The total cost is $9.85 (includes a $1.85 transaction fee). Please note that space is limited on our tours. You may not be able to join a tour group if you have not registered ahead of time through our website.
Further Information
This tour runs rain or shine and lasts approximately 2 hours, covering approximately 8 kilometres in distance. We will be riding on trails and there will be several hills. The tour starts at a Bike Share location however we cannot guarantee availability. Please provide your own helmet and come dressed for a moderately strenuous bike ride. There will be frequent breaks, however we ask participants to bring their own water and snacks.
This tour uses a loudspeaker in order to hear the tour leader.
