Hop on a bus for a day of exploring Toronto with fellow heritage enthusiasts and be inspired by the beauty that has been conserved! We’ll visit outstanding examples in heritage conservation, and learn about our city’s architectural heritage recently celebrated by the Heritage Toronto Awards.
On this day-long excursion, we’ll visit outstanding examples in heritage conservation, and learn about Toronto’s diverse architectural heritage using examples from previous winners and nominees of the Heritage Toronto Built Heritage Awards. Hear from historians, architects, and project managers who have worked on some recent outstanding examples of adaptive reuse in the city. Get a behind-the-scenes glimpse of some gems of Toronto’s built heritage.
Please note: some stops will include dis-embarking and some light walking outside. Please wear comfortable walking shoes and dress prepared for October weather. Tours will run rain or shine.
Both presentations of this tour depart at 10:30am and end at approximately 3pm (depending on traffic)
Meeting Location: 505 Richmond Street West (The Waterworks). We will be returning to this location at the conclusion of the tour.
Tickets for the tour must also be purchased in advance online and includes light refreshments. Please note: we may not be able to accommodate all dietary preferences on the tour.
