A long dining table with a group of people seated along both sides. White plates sit on the table in front of each person and big plates of food filled with food can be seen at the centre of the table. The large plate of food closest to the camera has an element that is on fire.

Scarborough Arts and Eat More Scarborough Food Tours tell the heritage stories of Scarborough’s food, public art and neighbourhoods.

The primary tool used to tell these stories is by hosting engaging and innovative food tours and inter-cultural culinary-neighbourhood experiences. Tour groups of 20-30 people via walking, bus or carpool visit several restaurants and sample specific dishes, discussing the cultural heritage of the food, the culture behind the food and the story of the restaurant. While on the tour, they also talk about neighbourhood stories of Scarborough, the people that built the borough, the architecture that brings Scarborough’s public spaces to life, and the artists and creative stories behind murals/public artworks and creative projects that have shaped Scarborough’s thriving arts scene.

In 2023 alone, they ran six tours including their now-famous Night Tours – exploring Scarborough’s nightlife and “night plazas” (that resemble night markets!) and telling the story of global nightlife cultures that are now embedded right here in the city.
