Grand Designs on Yonge Community Event

About the Community Event

Meet us at the Heritage Toronto tent at Sankofa Square to travel down Canada’s longest road! Discover its historic architecture, landmark structures, and hidden gems, and learn how this urban landscape has reshaped Toronto’s skyline.

Guided tours will be offered at 12:00pm and 2:00pm. Tours are approximately one hour and will start and end at the Heritage Toronto tent.

Tours will be led by Emerging Historian Elizabeth Compa.

These events are free and no pre-registration is required. Please arrive 5-10 minutes before the tour start time.

Further Information

This event runs rain or shine! Tours last for approximately one hour and takes place mostly on city sidewalks and in city parks. Please be aware there are some grade changes on route. Please wear comfortable walking shoes and consider bringing sunscreen and water to make your tour as enjoyable as possible.
