About the Community Event
Join us at the Heritage Toronto tent to explore the lives and stories of notable Black community members who made a mark on this city and are buried at the Toronto Necropolis. We will be stationed at the Cabbagetown Farmer’s Market under the Heritage Toronto tent with historical interpretation about the Black histories and legacies that rest in one of the oldest cemeteries in Toronto.
Guided tours will be offered at 4:00pm and 5:30pm. Tours are approximately one hour and will start and end at the Heritage Toronto tent.
Tours will be led by Emerging Historian Jonsaba Jabbi.
These events are free and no pre-registration is required. Please arrive 5-10 minutes before the tour start time.
