This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Fringe Festival in Toronto, a "must see" for theatre fans. Explore the history of some of the sites where Fringe plays have been presented, most of which were built for a purpose other than theatre.

2 blocks W of Bloor and Bathurst
FINISH POINT: Bloor St W and Spadina Ave

DIFFICULTY: Average walk on sidewalks

SUNDAY, JULY 5 - 1:30 PM

The Village of Fairbank

Hear the stories of this now almost invisible village that once had a school, church, post office and a stop on the Beltline Railway.

START POINT: Briar Hill Schoolyard, 1100 Briar Hill Ave at Dufferin St
FINISH POINT: Dufferin and Eglinton Streets
LENGTH: Approx. 2 to 2 1/2 hours
FOCUS: Historical
DIFFICULTY: Long walk, some slopes and stairs
