Plaque honours one of the founders of Leslieville
On Saturday, June 20th Heritage Toronto honoured one of the founders of Leslieville - George Leslie - as part of the Leslieville Tree Festival.
Leslieville is named for the Scottish horticulturalist and businessman, who established the Toronto Nurseries in the area in 1845.
We were joined by many members of the community and the Leslie Clan, some who had come from across the country to honour their family.
