Heritage Toronto Awards
33rd Annual Heritage Toronto Awards - congratulations to the award recipients!

It was the 'Night of Nights'! Thank you to all the guests, sponsors, supporters and volunteers for making the 33rd Annual Heritage Toronto Awards an evening to remember.

The Awards celebrate outstanding contributions by individuals and community organizations, as well as industry professionals and associations, in promoting and conserving Toronto's history and heritage landmarks. Award recipients were announced on October 15 at a ceremony at the historic Carlu.

And here are the award recipients...

The William Greer Architectural Conservation and Craftmanship Award

For his many years of dedicated work, Heritage Toronto presented Mr. William Greer with its highest honour, the Special Achievement Award. Mr. Greer has been working to conserve Toronto's built heritage for over 50 years, including 15 years as Chief Architect of the Toronto Historical Board. Sites of significance that Mr. Greer has had a direct impact on include Toronto General Hospital, Union Station, the Graphic Arts Building, BCE Place, Scotia Plaza and the National Ballet School on Maitland Street.

In honour of Mr. Greer's devotion and passion for our city's heritage, Heritage Toronto will be renaming the Architectural Conservation and Craftmanship Award the William Greer Architectural Conservation and Craftmanship Award.
