Sponsorship Opportunities

Heritage Toronto has many different sponsorship opportunities, with an array of benefits to offer. Some of the programming and events that are available are:

Heritage Toronto Walks
From April to October, thousands of people attend our free neighbourhood walking tours. Covering all areas of the city, Heritage Toronto Walks tell the stories behind the people, landscapes and historic buildings that bring Toronto’s neighbourhoods to life.

The Heritage Toronto Awards and the William Kilbourn Memorial Lecture
The annual Heritage Toronto Awards celebrate outstanding contributions - by professionals and volunteers - in the promotion and conservation of Toronto’s history and heritage landmarks. Nominees are brought forward by the public, and then juried by independent, expert panels. Award recipients are announced at one of Toronto’s most anticipated heritage events.

The William Kilbourn Memorial Lecture is held in conjunction with the Awards presentation. The lecture was introduced in 1996 to honour William Kilbourn’s legacy and his commitment to Toronto as a viable, liveable city that honours its past and plans for its future. Past speakers include David Crombie, Adrienne Clarkson, Bruce Kuwabara and David Mirvish - inspiring Torontonians in their own right.

Heritage Toronto iTours
iTours are visual and audio tours that are a convenient way to explore Toronto's heritage, and visit areas of the city that are difficult to navigate with larger groups of people. iTours, which can be downloaded to any MP3 device, will also feature archival photographs, taking viewers on a photographic journey of the people, places and events that have shaped Toronto.

Our iTours visit the Spadina Avenue neighbourhood, which includes contributions by Councillor Adam Vaughan and writer Rick Salutin, the Toronto Islands, and Don Mills with the Globe & Mail's Dave LeBlanc.

Heritage Toronto Website - Renewal Project
In 2007, Heritage Toronto acknowledged the necessity to expand and revamp its website in order to meet our community's needs more effectively. It is our goal to become the "go to" place for heritage issues in the City. Our new website will be a key tool to enhance our responsiveness, to increase public accessibility, to connect with and support the heritage community and to allow us to embrace a leadership role in advocating on heritage issues.

For information about how we can create a successful marketing partnership through our sponsorship program, please contact Kim Adlard, Manager, Fund Development by phone: 416.338.0682 or by email at  kadlard@toronto.ca.

Heritage Toronto is grateful for the support from its sponsors…together we are telling Toronto’s Stories!
