Andrew Himel is a managing partner of the Kilmer Brownfield Equity Fund L.P., which is the first private equity fund in Canada to focus on the redevelopment of contaminated "brownfield" properties. Andrew spent many years in Hamburg and Berlin, Germany, where his career focused on real estate and finance. In Berlin, following Reunification, Andrew worked for Sony on the landmark redevelopment of the historic Potsdamer Platz. Andrew used his time in Europe to visit many heritage sites. Andrew has a B.Sc. from University of Toronto and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. Andrew is a chartered property finance and investment surveyor and professional member (MRICS) of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
