Allan Penning brings a life-long interest and passion for history and our built environment to the Board of Directors of Heritage Toronto - along with his nearly 20 years of not-for-profit arts administration and fundraising experience. Currently working with Luminato, the Toronto Festival of Art + Creativity as Senior Director of Individual and Foundation Giving, Allan has also held senior roles at Lorraine Kimsa Theatre for Young People (now, again, YPT) and with The National Ballet of Canada. Prior to that, Allan lived in Montreal, setting up the public and education programmes with the Centre Canadien d'Architecture and running a small art gallery, promoting and selling contemporary and modern Canadian art.
