(Event) Ontario-On The Map Start: 9:00 am End: 5:00 pm Exhibits “Ontario-On The Map”. Original maps from past three centuries illustrates how the purpose of early provincial maps changed from tools for settlement and exploitation of resources to tools for understanding the evolving cultural and physical landscape of Ontario. Runs to Feb. 26. Free to public, 9-5, M-F. archives.gov.on.ca Exhibit not open on Saturdays or Sundays. (Event) Christmas Social at the Scarborough Historical Museum located in Thomson Park at Brimley Rd north of Lawrence Ave E Start: 12:00 pm End: 5:00 pm Celebrate the holiday season in the festively decorated buildings of the Scarborough Historical Museum. Enjoy the aroma of traditional baking and sample a few treats too. 12 noon to 5 pm Saturday December 5th and Sunday December 6th Free admission to celebrate Toronto's 175 On Sunday December 6 , During a Victorian Baking Workshop, children ages 8 to 11 will be baking treats using traditional methods from 1:30 to 3:30 pm.
