Covering the development of the city from 1850 to 1900, he captures the spirit of Toronto’s rise from colonial outpost to metropolis.

Dr. Andreae is Senior Built Heritage Specialist for Golder Associates Ltd. He is the author of the award-winning Lines of Country: An Atlas of Railway and Waterway History in Canada and a contributor to the popular new book Toronto, An Illustrated History of Its First 12,000 Years.
