Upper Canada College, the oldest independent school in Ontario, was founded in 1829 by Sir John Colborne, the Lieutenant-Governor of the British colony of Upper Canada. UCC is a university preparatory school for boys, kindergarten to grade 12. The archival records cover the history of the College, Toronto, education, sports and many persons of historical note in Canadian history.
