Step back in time as you tour the farmhouse of the prosperous Gibson family, built in 1851. David Gibson was a land surveyor who mapped early Toronto and prepared Ontario's wilderness for settlement. Due to his involvement in the Upper Canada Rebellion of 1837, Gibson endured an 11-year exile in the United States. The house was built when he returned to Toronto.
